WHAT TO WEAR
We encourage everyone dresses for the occasion.
The good news is that you don't have to spend a fortune to join in with the fun.
The 40's, 50's and 60's were all key periods for fashion, much of which wouldn't look out of place on the high street today.
The 1940's look was very tailored and smart. Ladies generally would wear a dress with fascinator hats, fur shawls and little gloves. The dresses in this era are very much like you would see within an office today.
For 50's dress we recommend a dress with a swing skirt, or a top and swing skirt. In the 50's, bigger was better, so the bigger your skirt the more authentic it will look. These looks really look complete with red lipstick and stockings.
The swinging 60's was a revolution for fashion and was a decade which really broke traditions. This decade included the creation of the mini skirt, it was the period where women really stood up for what they believed in and it showed through their choice of clothes. Clothes were used as a means of expression.
And for the Chaps its easy, you have an array of choices from a Country Gentleman, Slick City Man, MP, Armed forces Officer, Race Car Mechanic / Driver, Teddy Boy, Greaser or Rocker, Hippy and so on
For the Kids its easy too, dresses for the girls and shorts for the boys, Evacuee, School Uniform, Mechanic Overalls, 60s Child, the kids will love it
So let your imagination go wild and lets bring some glitz and glamor to the village

Elle & The Pocket Belles
Delve into the New age of Old...
These sassy and stylish ladies quite simply sizzle on stage and will transport you back in time.
Mr B Gentleman Rhymer
Mr. B began his Chap-Hop career in the summer of 2007 when he decided to bring elements of his previous incarnations (UK rapper, jump-up breaks producer, banjolele maverick and dandy) together and create a genre.
The Daisy Chains
Live vocals from six petticoated girls, as they each perform solos and beautiful harmonies throughout the set. Not to mention the incredible instrumental solos!
The Big What?! Band
The Big What?! Band perform the best of Motown soul, old-time rock 'n' roll, rhythm and blues and some left-field tunes.
Jackson Sloan & The Rhythmtones
Veteran swing and jazz singer Jackson Sloan has assembled a sterling cast of crack musicians.
Big Mac's Wholly Soul Band
They've played in Cairo, Tenerife, Germany and Dublin. Such far reaching appeal is witness to the band's adaptability and versatility.
Rocket Joe Joe And The Old Time Bangers
The Old Time Bangers really know how to make a party Twist and Shout. Taking a lively, authentic approach to Rock 'n' Roll classics from the 50's and early 60's.
Great dancing to mainly 50s Rock 'n' Roll standards and Jive, Bop, Swing, Lindy Hop, Rockabilly, Walk/Stroll.
